What is advantage of printing with ribbon?

Since the label, which you use in direct thermal print, is affected by sunlight, spotlights, humidity, temperature and outer environment, it becomes darker and the barcodes become hard to read in the course of time. In addition, stocking the thermal labels may also cause problems, because the label may lose its characteristic even when it is not used for long periods of time. Thermal labels may damage the print head in high-speed prints, and if there is color printing on the label, it becomes faster. However, ribbon will protect the print head against the adhesive on label, dyes and dusts since it acts as a print head protector. Therefore, your print head and labels will be long-lasting.

Wax Ribbon

The paraffin (wax) based ribbons form the backbone of ribbons being used, the paraffin on polyester carrier ribbon becomes fluid by heat, and after it is attached on a surface used for marking, it cools and thickens.

Wax / Resin Ribbon

The ink ribbons formulated by adding resin into paraffin based ink. The used resin adds resistance to the pressure on the surface being marked, and it is resistant to leaking and scraping.

Resin Ribbon

The ink ribbons formulated of all resin. They give perfect results on any surfaces. They are long-lasting ribbons especially on synthetic based materials and they have maximum resistance to leaking and scraping.
